Vogue is set to launch in India on September 22nd with Priya Tanna as editor. According to her, for a long time Vogue was a bit of an elusive dream for the Indian woman and Vogue India will decode trends from a Marc Jacobs show to highlighting trends in Bollywood movies, thus making it relevant for the Indian reader.
The inaugural issue is Bollywood-themed featuring style advice from Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta as well as a write-up by Sukhetu Mehta about the Bollywood film industry. The cover itself features Australian model Gemma Ward (which was also on the cover of the first Vogue China back in 2005), Priyanka Chopra, Monikangana, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu and Laxmi Menon.
