Perfect Color.....Perfect Combination

Oftentimes, we choose to wear the shades of our favorite color and it's a fact that color and clothes styling reflect our individuality. I was so happy to read an article by Christine Lennon, it provides guide in choosing a perfect color not just for our personality but for our looks as well. After you read this post, you can wear different colors in perfect combination...

Purple
Purple is a color rarely found in nature because it instantly draws attention to anyone wearing it and sometimes makes it appear artificial. Purple has traditionally represented luxury, royalty, wealth and sophistication; purple is a color of power also has a feminine and romantic appeal, especially lighter shades.

Violet
Women with porcelain skin and dark hair should not look washed out in a nude or subtly toned dress because she'll just end up looking pale. A smarter choice: Play up the drama with a deep yet vibrant shade of violet that will look amazing.

Lavender
Gorgeous, honey-toned skin, like Beyoncé's, will look striking in lavender and lilac. She should go with a neutral shade and with things that look a bit muted.

Deep Plum
Women like Katherine Heigl, with light blond hair and fair skin with dark eyes, will have a dark, dramatic and even offbeat effect with shades like plum or burgundy.

Blue
Blue is one of the most popular colors. After all, it is found so many places on our planet: from the sky to the ocean, to baby blue eyes, to the forever-fashionable blue jean. Blue usually produces the opposite emotional response of the color red; blue stimulates a chemical reaction in the body, producing feelings of peace and tranquility, so blue is the perfect shade for yoga apparel. Fashion consultants advise wearing blue to job interviews because it has been shown to symbolize loyalty.

Periwinkle
The periwinkle color is made for fair-haired girls with light complexions, like Naomi Watts. A blonde in periwinkle is all sunshine and flowers, it also makes blue eyes reverberate.

Turquoise
For women like Christy Turlington, who combine light or hazel eyes with medium-to light-brown hair, a strong blue turquoise is a great match to their hair and complexion.

Navy
Navy is a nice alternative for those who want a break from black. Women with dark hair, dark eyes and medium complexions, like Jennifer Garner, can wear a dark blue because it can stand up to the color of their hair and eyes, giving them depth.

Green
A calming and refreshing color, green represents nature. Green is easy on the eye, and studies suggest that it may even improve vision! The color of money, dark green is masculine, and suggests wealth. Related to this message of prosperity, medieval brides wore green to symbolize fertility and fruitfulness.

Olive
Redheads should definitely consider green because they can flatter their looks. They should wear something that makes their hair color stand out: olive, emerald or forest green.

Lime
Lime is green mixed with yellow. Since these hues work well together, blondes like Charlize Theron will look amazing in lime.

Mint
Easter colors, are the perfect complement to women with dark, dramatic complexions, like Gabrielle Union. Mint green and other strong pastels play off the skin tone and provide a vivid contrast.

Yellow
The most difficult color for the eye to process, yellow can be overpowering – perhaps this is why people tend to lose their tempers and babies cry more in yellow rooms. Yellow is a cheery color, though, and does have its positive attributes: over and above attracting attention, yellow enhances concentration, which would explain its use for post-its and legal pads. It is also believed that yellow may speed up your metabolism.

Honey
Women with blond hair, dark eyes and tawny skin like Jessica Simpson can experiment with colors most women are afraid of like warm, dark golden yellows that riff on the skin's warm undertones.

Taxicab
Golden girls with champagne hair, light eyes and a medium skin tone should go with the glow by wearing a shade that mirrors their natural radiance. A warm yellow adds more zing to their coloring. It underscores the yellow tones in the skin, making blond hair look even more golden and blue eyes sparkle.

Daffodil
This sunny shade is all about intensity, so it's best worn by those who have either very light or very dark skin tones, such as Kerry Washington.

Orange
Wearing orange is a fantastic way to command attention. A combination of passionate red and happy yellow, orange shares moderated attributes of both colors. Like yellow, orange is intellectually stimulating, but also signifies warmth, energy, change, and health. Like red, orange is very stimulating, but orange (and especially peachy orange) is less aggressive and more soothing.

Cantaloupe
This creamy shade, a touch less bright than classic orange, was made for women like Kate Hudson.

Mango
It's ideal for women with brown hair, brown eyes and olive complexions, like Rachel Bilson. Mango lightens up sultry features in the same way a bright scarf can wake up a brown coat.

Tangerine
Latinas who look great in white (like Penélope Cruz) can carry off a deep tangerine. Their coloring allows them to wear strong hues so they're fabulous in any citrus color.

Red
Red is the color of passion and love, and the most emotionally intense color. Red also produces a biological response, getting people all hot and bothered by quickening the pulse and increasing the breathing rate. While red is definitely regarded as a sexy color that draws attention, red also makes the wearer look heavier and is an appetite stimulant – perhaps this explains common weight gain during the holiday season. Red can also appear confrontational – think of matadors – so avoid red when carrying out negotiations, as it may work against you.

Tomato
Striking shades, such as true red, really frame women with this coloring, like Gwyneth Paltrow, who dubs these cool types with flaxen hair, light eyes and porcelain skin.

Coral
One of the hot shades on the spring runways, coral does great things for women with dark hair, dark eyes and a medium complexion, like Natalie Portman. When your skin is neither dark nor light, any midtone pastel will work, but nothing too soft and sweet.

Claret
Deep, dramatic red was made for sultry, dark-eyed brunettes like Catherine Zeta-Jones. Rich red and brown complement each other because they both have warmth to them.
